Halloween, also known as "All Hallow Even", "Hallows Eve", "All Hallows Eve" or "Hallowe'en", is a holiday celebrated on October 31st every year. This day is the eve of All Saints' Day in Western tradition, which is to commemorate all saints. However, over time, Halloween has become a more entertaining holiday, especially in North America.
On Halloween, children usually wear various costumes such as ghosts, superheroes or characters from pop culture and go to their neighbors' doors to ask for candy (this behavior is called "trick or treat" or "trick-or-treating"). At the same time, many families will decorate their houses and use horror-themed decorations such as Jack-o'-lanterns, spider webs, ghosts, etc. to create an atmosphere.
In addition to Trick-or-treating, there are other traditional activities, such as holding costume parties, watching horror movies, telling ghost stories, and visiting haunted houses. Although it has its roots in religion and superstition, modern Halloween is seen more as a day for adults and children to have fun.
